Doug’s Bar Sessions
In the spirit of Doug Armstrong’s legendary original music nights, we bring to Rother Street Arts House a new intimate monthly singer songwriter evening from Doug’s Bar.
Ben Clempson is a singer-songwriter and musician based in Leamington Spa. He is known for his work in the folk-blues-rock genre, frequently drawing direct comparisons to the virtuosic folk-jazz soundscapes pioneered by John Martyn. One-half of the musical duo Clemency, Ben has been praised for his percussive guitar playing, soulful vocals, and original songwriting.
Tim O’Connor is the lead singer and songwriter for London/Coventry indie-rock trio The Way After. Following critical praise and BBC Introducing airplay for the 2025 mini-album Still To Breathe, expect a set of melodic, 60s-inspired indie-folk for fans of Elliott Smith, R.E.M, and The Beatles.
Hosted by Jack Blackman.
