In Conversation: Pygmalion & The Importance of Being Earnest

Join the companies of Pygmalion and The Importance of Being Earnest for a lively afternoon discussion exploring two of the greatest plays ever written.

This special event offers audiences the chance to go behind the scenes with the actors and creative teams during the productions’ runs at the Rother Street Arts House. Expect conversation, insight, anecdotes from rehearsal, and a chance to ask your own questions during the audience Q&A.

Joining the panel will be:

  • Jonas Cemm — director of Pygmalion, theatre-maker and founder of SHAW2020, known for his work specialising in the plays of George Bernard Shaw

  • John Robert Partridge — Artistic Director of Rother Street AND Tread The Boards. John also plays Higgins in Pygmalion and is the director of The Importance of Being Earnest

  • Neil Titley — author, playwright, journalist. A specialist in both Shaw and Wilde.

  • Vanessa Heron – Chair of the Oscar Wilde Society

  • Ivan Wise – Editor of The Shavian and a Trustee of The Shaw Society.
